Personal Biography for Wayne G. Fox
Wayne George Fox is the Somerset & Morris County Regular Democratic Organization candidate for the 16th Legislative District NJ Senate seat which includes sixteen Somerset County communities and the Borough of Mendham in Morris County. He is founder and Managing Director of Cyber Density, LLC, a business advisory firm.A 2004 graduate of the Rutgers School of Law, Wayne concentrated in the study of Constitutional Law and the area of Intellectual Property, especially as related to the Internet (Cyberlaw). He is admitted to the bar as an attorney-at-law in NJ, PA and DC. He is a 1978 Honors graduate of The Wharton School with a Bachelor of Business Administration and of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he earned a Master of Business Administration degree in 1981.
As a member of the Montgomery Township School Board during 2005-2006, Wayne gained valuable insights into education and policy development. He also called for greater openness and better dialogue between the school board and the community. He and his wife, Colette, have actively supported the organization of adult volunteers and chaperones for the new MHS Marching Band as well as volunteers in support of the Rutgers Marching Scarlet Knights.
Wayne was formerly a Vice President at AT&T in corporate strategy and development. Wayne joined AT&T after AT&T acquired Teleport Communications Group Inc. (“TCGI”), a NYSE listed company, for $11.2 billion. Wayne also served as Treasurer, Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions and Managing Director of Corporate Ventures at TCGI.
Prior to TCGI, Wayne spent a decade as an investment banker as Director and Vice President in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group of Merrill Lynch Capital Markets in New York. He was responsible for the sale of communications, industrial, aerospace, military hardware and high-technology companies. Wayne also has five years experience in general corporate finance raising capital in the public and private debt and equity markets and in structuring partnerships.
Wayne is active in community service as a Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol where he serves as the NJ Wing Chaplain. He is an FAA licensed private pilot for single engine land & sea airplanes and hot air balloons.
A New Jersey native, Wayne lives in Belle Mead with his wife, Colette, and their four children.
